Prevention Tips
1) Keep an eye on your pet when they are outside and never let them roam!
2) Never leave your pet in your car or in front of a public place unattended!
3) Keep your pets in your home, if you must leave!
4) Sadly, shy or skittish pets are quite often mistaken for being abused. Make sure they have tags that say, (for a cat): "I'm frightened, not feral." For dogs: "I'm skittish, not abused."
5) During the event of thunderstorms and fireworks, (Never take your pet to a fireworks show!) keep your pets indoors and put them in a safe room with no windows. If it's a room with windows, keep the shades closed. Extremely loud noises can cause your pet to get startled and bolt! And when you're outdoors with your pet, keep them on a leash!
Very Important!
Never feed your pet the following foods!
*Chocolate *Caffeine *Salt *Onions *Raw Eggs *Garlic *Bones *Grapes *Raisins *Macadamia nuts. And especially, Peanut Butter. Peanut Butter is one food a pet can easily choke on!
Consult with your Veterinarian for more information.
